Darwin to Kakadu (250km)

It's a scenic drive that showcases the natural beauty of the Top End region.

It is known for its stunning gorges, waterfalls, and Aboriginal rock art sites. The park is a popular destination for hiking, camping, and canoeing, and visitors can explore the network of walking trails that lead to various lookout points and swimming spots. A great opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Northern Territory and experience some of the region's most iconic attractions. Edith Falls is a popular spot for swimming and picnicking. The falls cascade into a series of rock pools, providing a refreshing break from the drive. Adelaide River township is known for its historic railway station and war cemetery, which commemorates the Australian and Allied soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. Batchelor is a small town near Litchfield National Park, Batchelor is a good place to stop for supplies or a meal before continuing on to Litchfield. The final destination of the road trip, Litchfield National Park is home to a variety of natural attractions, including waterfalls, rock pools, and termite mounds. Some of the must-see spots in the park include Wangi Falls, Florence Falls, and the Magnetic Termite Mounds.
Litchfield to Darwin (130km)
Make sure to stop at various attractions, such as the Adelaide River, the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, and the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve. Once you reach Darwin, you can explore the city's many attractions, including the Mindil Beach Sunset Market, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, and the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.
